DJ Starchild "Live @ The Fever" Mixtape 1985 (Side A & B)

DJ STARCHILD THE CHIEF ROCKER!! Now I had to bring yall back to the Fever Days, right here with The Fever's own "DJ STARCHILD" Understand that this is a classic tape right here, straight from my archives, and given to me by my good friend many moons ago. Now understand, Starchild made many of his mixes live as he played the Fever back around 1985 on up. I am letting go of a Fever tape from 86 right here. Blast this joint, it deserves it, in all its good tape quality glory. Note: If you listen in on Side B, After James Browns "Give It Up Or Turn It Loose" He debuts a new joint at the time, "Breakin In Space, By KEYMATIC" So this testifies to how old the tape is from.

And of course R.I.P To The Chief Rocker Starchild Himself, as I memorialize His passing away a few years ago in 2012!!

Classic "BRUCIE B" Mixtape's "Taking You To The Old school II" + Danny Dan The Beatman & Grandmaster Caz 1988 Breakbeat Tape

Here are two for the road, one I actually own on Tape myself "Taking Back To The Oldschool II" (but I only Have side A And Looking for Side B as we speak) SO MANY OF YOUR FAVORITE CLASSIC BREAK BEATS Being stomped out....And the other tape is one I found online, it is a Mixtape from 1990 that contains a lot of Dope Oldschool Hip Hop & Breakbeats, I assume it was the talk of the town back in NYC's 1990 as one Of Brucie's stellar put-outs. We All know, Brucie B was one of the forerunners of the mixtape game, Him along side, DJ Starchild, Doo-wop, Kid Capri, Ron B, And before those guys, People like Wiz Kid, were doing what we call "House tapes" or mixes done at home, on cassette and put on the streets. Grandmaster Caz is even accredited for putting out numerous house tapes for the B-boys or joints for the streets. Sometimes mixes were done live where you can hear the eclectic voices of said brothers like Brucie B Or Starchild yelling over the music as they consume the crowd at places such as the Fever, the Rooftop and The LQ (Latin Quarters). NOW THAT'S CLASSIC. If you like to bump oldschool classic mixes with breaks and Hip Hop joints, here it is.

Super Rarety Sureshot: Dupont - "Burn" From 1983's West Coast Documentary Film "Breakin "N" Enterin'

Now I came across this interesting joint a very good Digital copy of such (would still love to own the vinyl of this record, which I heard was reissued in 2008) so I immediately downloaded it, after hearing this several years ago watching the "Breakin "N" Enterin' Doc on You tube, and caught an in depth underground glimpse into the 1983 Hip Hop scene in Los Angeles without the commercialized BS of Hollywood movie productions. I heard this record and started my search for it. If you have been wondering who and what this cool Synth- pop R&B Record is by. The answer is: DUPONT progenator of the later 80's duo Milli &Vanilli. Dupont who started out in 1983 and released some records, an ablum as well, under his real name "Dupont randolph-Gray". Here is a quick History (Via Discogs): Signed to Total Experience Records and recorded three tracks for the film "Breakin' and Enterin'" in 1983. Moved to London, England in 1984 to look for another record label. Signed to Stone City Music in 1985. Started the International Musique Society in 1986 with Gloria Hann. Helped to form Milli Vanilli and signed to MCA in 1987. This record is definitely a cool Westcoast easly Electro Synth Pop representation in all its glory. Please note, This & two other songs by the artist does not appear on the final 5 track EP "Breakin "N" Enterin' only pressed in extreme limited quantites, however it intended to, as all three of the Dupont Tracks never made it on the final release. so this song as well as the other 2 were never officially released whatsoever (You may want to look those up too. I could not find good copies of the other two, only botched Youtube video-audio edited attempts). There is a 2008 release of the EP, which includes all three of the Dupont tracks in addition to the 5 Radio Crew Tracks. I believe that cna be purchased maybe, Look that up as well. Here is artwork for the Motion Picture release and the Dupont "Burn" track (downloadable) below
